Rijiju Calls for India to Build a Vibrant Sports Culture Beyond Sporting Traditions
Kiren Rijiju urges India to transform sporting traditions into a vibrant sports culture, highlighting fitness, sportsmanship and the shared dream of athletes to represent the country at the Khelo India Dialogue.
Addressing students participating in the Khelo India Dialogue at Hindu College in New Delhi, Mr Rijiju said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is actively developing a strong sporting ecosystem.
Mr Rijiju said everyone should engage with sports to remain fit and develop sportsmanship. He also recalled his tenure as the Sports Minister and said that during his visits to numerous sports camps, he observed that representing India was the shared dream of every athlete.
His remarks at the Khelo India Dialogue highlighted the need to strengthen India's sporting culture by encouraging wider participation while continuing efforts to develop the country's sports ecosystem.
